Alphabet Challenge

Hello my Crafty Friends! I have a little something special this month! Many of you know that the Stampin’ Up! Catalog you’ve fallen in love with over the last year is retiring. That means you have only 1 month to find the sets you love and buy them before they are gone! Our blog hop decided we wanted to do an Alphabet Hop to let you see some of the sets that are retiring and what they have to offer before they are gone.

My chosen set is the Dandelion Delight Cling Set. Let me tell you, I am so sad to see this set leave. It’s so versatile and charming. I’ve really never struggled to make a card with it. The ideas just flow because there is so much you can do with it!

I wanted to show off the In Colors that are retiring soon as well, so I used Seaside Spray (retiring) as the card base and main ink color. It’s a color I haven’t played with near enough and the more I use it, the more I’m kicking myself for leaving it on the shelf for so long!

I added the Paper Blooms DSP (retired) as a runner behind the Basic White card stock and added some Whisper White Polka Dot Tulle Ribbon (retiring). To give the dandelions some dimension, I blended some Seaside Spray ink on them and added the Opal Rounds for the centers. The background is stamped in the Seaside Spray as well. I wanted to only accent the card with the Misty Moonlight for the sentiment and to tie in the DSP. I rounded the edges on the Basic White card stock, and popped it up on dimensionals to make it stand out a little more.

Hop on over to the next blog for more samples of the retiring items from the catalog. Then, come back often to see sneak peeks for the new catalog that will be live May 4th!

Stay Crafty, Friends!

(Disclaimer – The retiring items are selling out fast! Some may be sold out by the time of the release of this blog.)

If you are in the market for a new Stampin’ Up! demonstrator and like what you see here, I’d be honored to be at your service. I love hosting in person classes, I do online classes, and I can make PDF tutorials to follow at home at your own pace. Feel free to contact me if you’d like to hear more.

Also, if you’re in need of a catalog, I ship them free of charge after a $20 purchase on my website. This helps me with the cost of the catalog and the shipping fees.
