Hello Crafting Friends!
I’m excited to let you know that I’ve joined a monthly Color Blog Hop. It will feature 3 main color each Demonstrator has to use to make their cards or projects. This month’s colors were Mossy Meadow, Bermuda Bay, and Smokey Slate. I added some Whisper White for the sentiment and inside panel.

For this card, I used the Forever Blossoms stamp set with the coordinating Cherry Blossom die set. I have used this set before, but I’d not used the dies with it. Oh, I’m in love! These dies take this set to a whole new level. I’m going to make a card with just the stamps, so you can see the level up the dies give your creation!
On this card, I started with the Mossy Meadow card stock as my base. I used the In Good Taste DSP to tie in the Smokey Slate in the flowers. The extra flowers and leaves, cut out of Bermuda Bay and Smokey Slate card stock, are great accents on the sentiment space. I stamped the leaves in Mossy Meadow after stamping off a few times. I didn’t want them to be too bold. I used the Bermuda Bay and Smokey Slate Blender Pens for the die cut flower. As a small accent, I added some Whisper White 5/8” Polka Dot Tulle Ribbon behind the flowers. Finally, I used the Detailed Trio Punch to finish it off.

Do you love little tips on how to use a product differently than it’s marketed? I do, too! I used the Wink of Stella Brush to water color the leaves. Because it is alcohol based, is “smears” water based inks. If you use it on an image that has blank spaces, it will “color” them in. It makes water-coloring easy and quick, while adding the perfect amount of sparkle.
Now, that you’ve seen my project using these colors, why don’t you follow the NEXT link below to see what the other Demonstrators came up with. I know you’ll be impressed!
Don’t forget to pop back to my blog later this week to see the simpler card I’m going to make to show the difference without the dies.
Until next time, Happy Crafting!
