Stamping With Friends Blog Hop

Hello My Crafty Friends!

I love this theme for our blog hop. The stand alone dies are often overlooked because there’s no bundle to show in the catalog. When you go through the catalog, you see stamp sets and if it has a die, they are always pointed out. The stand alone dies aren’t really emphasized as much.

Because of that, I almost missed this die set I’m showing off today. Y’all, I am stoked that I ordered them and I am pretty sure they are the best little find in the catalog. One, they are so easy to use. There are other dies that make little envelopes or containers, but I find these to be the easiest ones that I have played with. Two, you can’t not love how cute this is sitting on the front of a card. Three, there are so many there ways to make these envelopes into little gift cards for flowers or a little cash or gift card holder taped onto a kiddo’s present.

Mini Pocket Envelope Dies

When I first opened the die set to create my card, I saw this die and had no idea what it was for.

Turns out, it’s the tail of the bow. Yup, I had to look it up on YouTube. I’m not gonna lie, I felt silly that I didn’t see it for what it was. Once I saw it, it totally made sense! lol

This card was actually really easy to assemble. I taped the DSP to the card base, then wrapped the front with the twine. Next, I die cut out the envelope from the Sahara Sand and stamped the cute little ribbons on the the corners. I die cut the rectangle, the square, and the bow and bow tail out from the DSP. I used the Crushed Curry side. I love how the bow tail wraps around the bow, showing the other side of the DSP. I die cut the oval from the Basic white as well as the tag that I die cut from the Tailored Made Tags dies. I, then, stamped the tag and added some twine to the tag hole. I made the ribbon and added it to the Basic White oval and added them both to the envelope. I added the rectangle in the envelope because I made a boo boo and punched the hold in the wrong place. I just covered that up and them used my Stampin’ Dimensionals to the envelope and added it to the card front. I added the Champagne Rhinestones Basic Jewels to the top and bottom corners. And that’s it. The die cutting took the longest and that was only a few minutes.

I hope you enjoyed this! Now, head on over to the next blog and see what other Stand Alone dies are showcased in this month’s blog hop.

  2. I love the card, with the message hidden in the pocket. Very cute. Just wish you would have told us the name of the dies you used.
