Butterfly Brilliance Collection

Hello Crafting Friends!

I am so in love with this new collection!Everything about it makes me smile! First, there is one stamp that can be die cut into six different butterflies. Second, you have 9 dies that cut out all the butterflies and three background dies. Then, there is the 6X6 DSP that has one pattern that matches the large die, and several other designs that are perfect for backgrounds or even for making a card with just the DSP. Finally, the Natural Touch DSP that has the look of natural wood, but it can get stamped on, embossed, die cut, and more.

As soon as I got it in, I wanted to play, so of course I wanted to make a card that used every item in the collection. This is what I came up with

The card base is Just Jade. I used Basic White for the background the butterflies are sitting on. I took the die for the butterflies and used the Blending Brushes to color it in with Just Jade, Mango Melody, and Magenta Madness Stampin’ Ink Pads. I used the stamp on a sheet of the Butterfly Bijou DSP. Smoky Slate was perfect for the image. I wanted the image to be lighter so the colors of the paper showed through. The large die fit over the image perfectly and made it easy to get all six butterflies cut out. I used dimensionals to pop up the butterflies and make them feel like they are flying. Finally, I used the Stitched Rectangle Dies to create a frame for around the butterflies, giving the edges a more finished feel.

I love that the card feels like something that could be hung on a wall. Do you ever look at your cards and think you’ve created a work of art? If so, show it off. Let the world see how creative you are. It’s your way to make the space around you brighter, to bring a smile to those who share that space. Never hide that. The world needs more beauty.

I hope you have a chance to do some crafting today. It’s great therapy time!

Until next time, Happy Crafting!!
