Have you ever seen something that just has to be yours? This die had that effect on me immediately. First time I saw it, I knew it would be a carry over, as it was way to beautiful to only have for 6 months. The simple elegance of the look it created and that it only took only a few minutes to create, was just to appealing. Once I had it in my hands, I knew that I would keep it, even if it did retire. I am normally very good about selling my retired items, but this one… no way!
For this card, I took the Coastal Cabana ink refill and water, and blended it on my F Clear Block. I then placed my card front straight down on it to get a water colored look for the background. Next, I used all 5 Brusho colors on water color paper and made the paper for the bottom butterfly die. To finish it off, I used the top butterfly die on Black Foil Sheets. It took minutes to make this card, but it looks like I spent at least an hour working on it!
I hope that you like this die, because you’ll most likely be seeing many other projects made with it. I just don’t think that I can help myself! My goal, is to try to get a new set, die, or embellishment for each post. Maybe, I’ll have to just sneak this in the background or something.
